What a night. Some days you just get lucky. This particular night, I had three separate opportunities to capture lightning. I was basically shooting from 7pm until midnight. The storms just kept building and rolling in. These are just some of my favorite but I actually have quite a few more from this night. The video I posted is just to show you how frequent the lightning was striking. I wish I would have shot it at a slightly larger aperture so it would have been a little brighter, but, you live and you learn.

Wow…that’s a serious storm! Love the last shot with the lightning streaking through the clouds like veins…totally awesome!

Great captures Scott! I think they are plenty bright and the smaller aperture gave you some nice starring on the control tower lights!

Incredible night Scott! I especially love the last image with the light spraying across the sky!
